In a global war on terrorism, it is important to ask if a man or a women could be a terrorist, no matter where they're coming from. The video consists of two contrasting image sequences - constructive and deconstructive. The first part represents the process of creating the map of the world out of dough on a kitchen table. In the second part the destruction of the map is shown by cutting out pieces in the shape of a human; the map has been changed through human influence. Terrorism, which is shaking up the globe, might be an easier problem if only those with a certain psychopathology could be terrorists. We have to face the fact that anyone could be a terrorist. We all have the potential to commit the crime. Is this through imprinting? Instinct? Genes? The mechanisms of destruction that exists in every human being can be launched under specific circumstances. I believe this fact is universal and can be applied everywhere. Does this mean that we are faced with the same pattern of behavior, again and again? 2003 SERBIA 1 min NO DIALOGUE video by Vesna Milicevic
