| From the lecture by Peter Lamborn Wilson What seemes chaos to one person can be a perfect order for someone else. If you have never been in contact with technology, a computerscreen will be very chaotic. Pygmees confronted with photographs of themselves do not recognize themselves because they have no experience with understanding this technology. But drugs can help you to make a leap in your understanding. Drugs in general change your state of being, which makes that you perceive things very differently. We are sometimes surprised by the brilliance of the ideas of so-called great philosophers. But they were inspired by drugs. The same accounts for great romantic poets like Coolridge, Wordsworth, Blake, they were under the influence of opium.
