Syd Garon
Biography
Animator, Director Wave Twister the movie Syd Garon (born Michael Garon) attended the University of Miami film school from 1987-91 while working as a DJ at the college station (eventually becoming the music director). He spent the next several years as a club DJ (the only skratching he did involved his ass) and projected film loops and visuals in Miami nightclubs. He then went on to work in the film business creating music videos (Marilyn Manson's being the most famous) and commercials for the likes of sporting wear giant Adidas. Syd has made several underground films for the festival circuit. His works have been shown around the world from NY underground festival to Cannes. Although Syd has spent most of his life travelling to the ends of the earth, he's invested the last three years in front of his computer working on bringing skratch music to life.
