SAN Archipelago Collage
Throughout the festival, the Archipelago appears as a chill-ready, shaded locality where visitors can drift in and out of live-streamed interviews, discussions and performances. In the shadows of late platformism, we prototype different modes of togetherness: circular, collage-like, modular practices that keep re-writing pixels and data in multidirectional, real-time transmissions. We return to the problem of sovereign media, breaking with influencer metrics, market logics and audiencing. We don’t scale, we connect. We are not hybrid enough.
At transmediale, the program will be conducted by 19 shapeshifters: streamers, hackers, apprentices, hosts, performers, writers and weavers. We treat the program not as a fixed monument to planning - unlike the rigid schedules of traditional TV - but as a map with space for spontaneity. Expect detours. Streaming is flowing, floating, drifting, soothing, levitating, hovering. It is perpetually unfinished, teetering between anarchy and democracy like a tightrope walker who forgot the rope. Come over and cause one the detours yourself. You’re invited.
