The Bread and Puppet Theater has been a source of hope and vision for people all over the world. Their performaces have been in theaters, on college campuses, in churches and parks, and above all in the streets. Drawn from over two hundred hours of video material, the film is an expression of the progressive vision that Bread and Puppet represents. The film shows the building of puppets, rehearsing of shows and the performance of huge pageants set against the spectacular North Eastern Vermont landscape.
