Hoewel de hijra’s vanwege hun interseksuele of sekseloze status door de traditionele Indiase maatschappij worden verstoten, beschikken zij volgens het Hindoeïsme wel over de magie om vruchtbaarheid te verspreiden. De film volgt Laxmi, Asha en Rambha terwijl Khemka hen in en rond Mumbai fotografeert en over het overleven in de Indiase samenleving en seksualiteit discussieert. <p>Although hijras (eunuchs) are treated as outcasts by traditional Indian society due to their intersexual or non-gender status, they are also regarded by Hindu beliefs to be in posession of the magic to spread fertility. The film takes a contemporary look at the lives of three hijras as Khemka photographs them in and around Mumbai.
