<br />A businessman and a tramp understand each other without saying one word as they share a plate of intestines at a Hungarian snackbar.

<b>The Truth Machine</b><br /><i>The truth machine</i><br />R: Simone Benett (The Netherlands, 2007, 11’, experimental, DigiBeta)<br />This short film about a car accident is based on an old Persian fable: Truth is a mirror which fell to earth in one million pieces. All human beings picked up a piece, looked at it and saw themselves reflected. Each one decided they saw the truth, not realising that truth is splintered among all people.<br /><br /><b>Shooting Cell Phones</b><br /><i>Filmende Mobieltjes</i><br />R: Erik Rauws (The Netherlands, 2007, 3’, fiction, DVD)<br />A woman being robbed in the park on a beautiful day is saved by a heroic passerby shooting movies with his cell phone. What is pastime for the one, is a life-threatening truth for the other.<br /> <br /><b>Infinite Justice</b><br /><i>Infinite justice</i><br />R: Karl Tebbe (Germany, 2006, 2’, animated documentary, 35mm)<br />The confronting images of the Iraqi war are imprinted in everyone’s mind. Karl Tebbe re-enacted these horrible images with action-figures and in this way shows the absurdity of this war, without disrespecting the awful truth.<br /><br /><b>Now Everybody Seems to be Happy</b><br /><i>Ahora todos parecen contentos</i><br />R: Gonzalo Tobal (Argentina, 2007, 24’, 35mm, fiction, betasp)<br />In this Lolita-esque Latin tale Roberto and Carmen are on the run fleeing their homes and families and raising a few eyebrows along the way.<br /><br /><b>Herzhaft</b><br /><i>Herzhaft</i><br />R: Martin Busker (Germany, 2007, 15’, fiction, DigiBeta)<br />Fifteen-year-old Felix loves football and is in love with his 33-year-old football coach Ralf. His love is answered by Ralf and all is well until Felix’ mother finds out. <br />
