<br />Most people are caught in a fixed pattern. Sleeping – getting up – eating – working. The characters in Trivial are all part of the rut of a cold and automated world. Trivial is an ode to our daily routine that proves life is not just about working, eating and sleeping.

During his morning routine the misery on the radio strikes him. On his way out he stops, as if he can’t pass an invisible line. The neighbours, his girlfriend, his colleagues and eventually doctors try to persuade him to continue.<br /><br /><b>Null-Null</b><br /><i>Null-Null</i><br />R: Gaute Johnsen (Norway, 2007, 4’, fiction, DigiBeta)<br />Janne and Ivar have been together as a couple for a long time, but the relationship is not as it should be. Sometimes the only way to get something done is to do two dozen other things first. <br /><br /><b>Weiss</b><br /><i>Weiss</i><br />R: Florian Grolig (Germany, 2007, 5’, animation, BetaSP)<br />In an endless white landscape there are no borders… until you stumble over a white threshold or walk into a white wall.<br /> <br /><b>Škoda</b><br /><i>Škoda</i><br />R: Rob Lücker (The Netherlands, 2007, 14’, fiction, MiniDV)<br />Fester is living alone as an exasperated and frustrated man. His neighbour is his mirror image in almost every respect, yet more vulnerable and sympathetic. Both lose their jobs. Despite Fester’s resistance, the shy man next-door tries to offer friendship and comfort.<br />
