It’s a story of intercultural dialog and xenophobia, manifesting itself in the differences between city and village culture. Matilde is a city girl that is rejected from his milieu in Finnmark, while Roger’s love for her suffers from negative pressure from external forces.<br /><br /><b>Rounds</b><br /><i>Rounds</i><br />R: Stefan Bunnig (Germany, 2007, 29’, DVD)<br />This dreamy tale revolves around the breaking up of Noah and Alma. Noah does not want to let go of the moment and calls on sweet memories of their time together. In turn Alma carefully steers the thoughts towards recollections of their lesser times as well.<br /><br /><b>Elvis and Me</b><br /><i>Elvis und ich</i><br />R: Michael Sommer (Germany, 2006, 23’, 35mm /betasp)<br />Hermine’s 70th birthday present is an Elvis impersonator’s performance. To her, a dream has come true. After all, she once met Elvis during his military service in Germany. Now she firmly believes he has come back. Hermine’s son Aaron, on the other hand, seems to be having some trouble with the happy reunion. <br /><br /><b>Vegetable</b><br /><i>Plantaardig</i><br />R: Dennis Lubbers (The Netherlands, 2007, 4’)<br />Research has shown that one in every ten employees is sexually harassed.
