What if I get bored?
Will there be screenings?
Yes, there will be screenings. Video, 16mm and 35mm. Every night in de Kleine Zaal of De Balie, the grote zaal of De Balie and all day in the Cinema of Melkweg.
Can I bring my videotapes?
Please do. During the festival you'll always meet people who are interested in your work. At the festival venue there will be a possibility to screen your video-tapes. In the dressing rooms of the Oude Zaal of the Melkweg, in the Media Library, there will be ample opportunity to look at tapes alone or in groups and show tapes to each other. If you would like your tape or film to be included in the database and catalogue, please send it to us in advance, so we have the time to register it. Your tape will, with your permission, be permanently stored for research and education in the archive of the International Institute for Social History, Amsterdam.
What about parties?
The Next 5 Minutes 4 doesn't end when the sun goes down. Every night, you've got the possibility to visit a great party where you can relax, listen to the music, dance, or debate if you like. If you have a festival pass, you'll get (probably) free entrance to regular dance events in trend-setting venues Melkweg and Paradiso. View the performance programmes (with dance parties)
