Alex Ortiz
Alex Ortiz, co-curator, received his BA from Brown University in 2009, graduating with a double major in Comparative Literature and Middle Eastern studies.
He spent the 2009-2010 academic year as a CASA I fellow in Damascus,
Syria. He is currently a CASA II fellow in Cairo. His academic and
professional work include Arabic language and literature, history,
journalism, and literary and commercial transla- tion. He tweets from
