Micah White

Micah White is the American creator of the Occupy Wall Street meme and former Adbusters editor.
White
has fifteen years of breakthrough campaign experience. In high school
he was awarded Americans United's Religious Liberty Award for his
"eloquent support of church-state separation" and the ACLU of Michigan's
Civil Libertarian of The Year Award. In college he sparked the
nationwide Diebold Electronic Civil Disobedience.
He
has been profiled by The New Yorker, The Walrus and the alumni magazine
of Swarthmore College for his founding role in the Occupy Wall Street
movement. After eight years at Adbusters - where he rose from campaigns
intern to guest editor, editor and editor-at-large - White is now the
founder of Boutique Activist Consultancy and a board member of
OccupyWallSt.org.
White has a PhD from the Europäische
Universität für Interdisziplinäre Studien (EGS) where he studied with
philosophers Slavoj Zizek, Alain Badiou, Avital Ronell, Michael Hardt,
and Jacques Ranciere. In 2013, White was a Visiting Scholar at RMCAD in
Denver, CO.
