The editors of the Tactical Media Files archive and documentation
resource is a continuously changing group of individuals. The resource
was started in 2008 by David Garcia, Eric Kluitenberg, Michiel van der
Haagen, and Ian van Riel, further assisted by Gerbrand Oudenaarden, Adam
Hyde, Huub Sanders (IISG) and many other individuals and organisations.
Gregory Sholette is an artist, activist and author based in New York.
ReadTjebbe vam Tijen is a Dutch artist, theorist and curator.
ReadCandida TV was born from the melting of different realities: underground cinema, video production, rave parties, street theaters, independent radios, underground bulletin board systems on the net and counterculture pop-magazines in the last seven years in Rome.

DICTIONARY OF WAR is a collaborative platform for creating 100 concepts
on the issue of war, to be invented, arranged and presented by
scientists, artists, theorists and activists at four public, two-day
events in Frankfurt, Munich, Graz and Berlin. The aim is to create key
concepts that either play a significant role in current discussions of
war, have so far been neglected, or have yet to be created.

ReadLike most of this collective effort, even the name is not a single person's brainchild- all we know is that somewhere along the way, people started referring to our work as such. And since it was an unpretentious, practical term, which did represent what we were doing in a direct manner, we just stuck by it.

The relationship between art and political conflict has been
significantly reshaped by the proliferation of digital media and the
internet as a means of instant dissemination of images, texts, and
audiovisual expressions. Artistic /activist actions intervene via these
digital means into an expanded symbolical space that is no longer the
sole sanctuary of artists and art audiences, but instead has become the
'neural fibre' of everyday life.
The Strategies for Tactical Archives conference investigates how documentation and archiving can feed into living practices of activists, artists and media makers that address the position of communities who feel aggrieved or excluded from the wider public culture.
The program consists of a public keynote lecture on Friday evening October 27 (starting 19.30) by Sarah Schulman, writer, activist and co-initiator of the ACTUP Oral History Project and author of Let the Record Show - A Political History of ACTUP New York, 1987-1993. This is followed by a one day conference on Saturday October 28 (10-17 hrs.) at Nieuwe Instituut, Rotterdam.
